HI! WOULD YOU LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT ME?

Well, my name is Roman; I’m 34 years old, and I’m from Germany. I’ve never been able to walk, and I was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy when I was about 7 months old. It’s a disease that makes my muscles weaker over time. So, it became clear to me quite early that my life won’t be completely ‘normal.’

I’ve accepted that I have to live with this condition, but it’s my choice how I live my life. Continually, I’ve set various goals for myself. Some of them I’ve already achieved, and some are still ahead of me. Life isn’t always perfect, but I’m an optimist, and I don’t give up. For example, I’ve been playing powerchair hockey in the first German league for many years, won several awards, and even made it into the German national team. My second great passion is traveling, and since 2020, I’ve been sharing my experiences with an ever-growing community. I want to use my texts and photos to show that you can follow your dreams despite various difficulties and encourage people with and without disabilities to travel.
